I have become a scarf guy.
It is Saturday, January 11, 2003 and I am the speaker at a retreat at a Christian camp with Junior Highers. There are about 300 from around the state. The most surreal part if that I have two of my own children (Michon and Taylor) along as campers.
Any way, the temperature is, in classic Minnesota January fashion, -5 degrees. It is so cold at that when sniffing hard outside my nostrils stuck together. Well, I was given a scarf by sister-in-law this year for Christmas and have been wearing it this weekend. I am now a scarf guy. These things are great. Until this point I had thought of them as a little wimpy, and John Cussacish. But that John Cussac knew what we was doing.
Shelley is in Cancun for 6 days. I am glad for her, but it is a bitter pill to swallow, me needing a scarf and her in Cancun.
