Painted the kitchen and bathroom today to get ready for our Christmas Party on Saturday.
The kitchen is now green and the bathroom a deep red.

It has been more than a week since my last entry - I am so bad at keeping up on these daily things.

There have been many things happening, not all significant, but the cool stuff of life.
On Saturday at Solomon's Porch we had an Intersections - events with the tagline, "where faith meets art".
The theme of this one was Incarnation. It was really great to be led by artists. There were a few really brilliant spoken word pieces, wonderful music and a dance, video, ambient music thing at the end called, Pain from Love.
My explanation will not do this justice, but,
Michelle danced, nearly in the dark, in the rhythm of a women having a baby. The screen showed video of an ultrasound, Brent mixed ambient music from his apple. It was so powerful.

Much going on the home front as well. We got our Christmas tree, but have not decorated it yet. Not much holiday interest in that this year for some reason. We also brought a tree to my mom. She has been having a really hard time since my dads death last October.

We finally got our red curtains in our family room. Marlene has been working on them for a year - they are pretty simple ,just hard to get to. What a difference they make.

I have been listening to the song The Rising by Bruce Springsteen, an 80's flashback in and of itself. Any way, I think that is a great song and has gotten into my head - this is the kind of things that happen to the 80 generation I think.

I think the postmodern era began in the 1880's with all the revolutions that took place between then and the 1920's. I will do some more thinking and writing about this.

On the Emergent world, the site is up and people are able to register and become friends. We are preparing for our Annual Theological Discussion. This year it in Chapel hill North Carolina. We will spend a few days with Stanley Hauerwass.
